SEPTEMBER: NOTE TO SELF

Trust what you know, now.  You and your experience are your greatest resource.  You know more today than you did a year ago, use this knowledge wisely.  What can you do to keep you and your loved ones healthy, safe, and grounded in this season? What do you need to feel supported and connected?  What's working now or worked before?  What didn’t work so well?  What can you do differently?

Mindfully manage your consumption--eyes, ears, mind, mouth, and body.  The information you digest, the thoughts you trust, the language you choose, how you fuel your body—influences and impacts everything else.

Honor your routines.  Healthy habits and routines bring peace, predictability, and progress.  They are anchors you return to throughout the day, they give you agency and accountability--make them work for you.

Rest responsibly What does rest and reset look like right now?   What do you need more and less of in this season?  What decisions and discipline will be required of you?

Stay connected through contribution.  You suffer most when you are overly focused on you. Contributing to someone else besides you or something else bigger than you keeps you brave, optimistic, and hopeful.

This week, I invite you to hold the goodness of ordinary moments tightly.  Savor the sweet parts of this life.  May you discover hope and strength in remembering that this moment in time is temporary. Stay kind, we are all in this together.
